With Solsists: Ann Wilkes, Lorna Day, Joseph Buckmaster and Stuart O’Hara
This concert is one of contrast, with two wonderful works by Mozart and Puccini. Mozart’s Requiem is the subject of that beautiful film Amadeus and is one of the most popular pieces of choral music, for audience and performers alike. Puccini’s Messa di Gloria might use the sacred words of the Mass, but the music comes straight from the opera house, with wonderful melodies and glorious music for the soloists and the choir. With four professional soloists and the choir in tip-top form, this promises to be an outstanding concert.
The concert takes place in the atmospheric environment of St Saviour’s Church, on Bidston Road, Oxton.
There will be a 20 minute interval during this event.
